General Education Donation

With Scholarship Support, it is aimed at ensuring continuous education and equality of opportunity in education among our children and young people from kindergarten to the doctoral programs, in particular those who have disabilities, orphaned, etc. disadvantages, and special talents and need financial support, by providing them scholarship in order to raise educated generations who are successful, or determined to achieve success, respectful of our social values, aware of moral and humanitarian values, and will steer the future, and to meet the need of our country for qualified human resources.

Furthermore, Turkish Red Crescent provides scholarship supports to students of Vocational and Technical Anatolian High Schools that aim at raising a qualified workforce which has professional competence, upholds professional ethics and values, innovative, entrepreneur, productive, adding value in economy in order to ensure a heightened interest to these schools, and meet the human resource needs of related industries.

​Outcomes Achieved by Scholarship

• To support raising a volunteering and professional human resource who embraced the importance of service to all living-beings in areas such as Humanitarian Aid, Disaster, Community Health, and internalized the social (humanitarian) entrepreneurship.
• To access the disadvantaged student groups in underdeveloped regions, deteriorated urban areas and rural areas.
• To foster students socialize via mentorship, patronage, peer-interactions. 
• To foster students specialize in their own fields thanks to the trainings to be provided.

With this Assistance provided under the perspective of social responsibility, the stationery kits and education materials, including school bag, notebook, pencil, etc. items and tools, are provided to primary and middle school students in need in order to support and motivate them in their education.

Under this project, supports are provided to village schools which are lack of basic requirements due to lack of financial means, in order to make better the physical environment of the schools, and meet the repair, renovation and furnishing needs, as well as to village school students who are in difficulty to meet their educational needs.

Outcomes Achieved by the Project

• Establishment of playgrounds in the villages which are lack of these facilities.
• Provision of one-off cash educational assistance, as well as in-kind assistance such as clothing, stationery kit and toys to needy students of these schools.

Turkish Red Crescent is opening "Special Classrooms" in the public schools for education of our more than 30,000 special children with autism, Down syndrome or mental disabilities who needs more support and care, compared to their peers, in many areas. Thus, children are able to attend school along with their peers who do not need special education and access the material facilitating their education.

"Special Classrooms" are opened at public schools in need in line with the requests of National Education Offices, which are equipped with various educational materials aiming at color, auditory, tactile learning-comprehension for fostering hand-eye coordination and motor skills.

With the "What Parcel Contains" Project launched by Turkish Red Crescent under the sponsorship of LC Waikiki, FLO, MNG Kargo, in collaboration with Yıldız Technical University, it is aimed at providing educational support to the children attending in village schools all around Türkiye.

Parcels contain coat, boot, jumper, trouser, toothbrush and toothpaste for students and as well as a ready-wear gift for parents.

Red Crescent publishes educational materials titled "Adventures of Aycan and Aykız" and "I am Learning the Safe Living", for children in the age range of 3 to 6, in order to inoculate them the awareness on Red Crescent advocacy, to make helping a habit of them, raise awareness on volunteerism, disaster preparedness and safety, and for use in the awareness activities carried out at schools and during Red Crescent Week.

Our constantly updated books aims at raising the awareness of ten thousands of new students on the culture of Red Crescent advocacy, benevolence, and disasters.
