The “81 Soup Kitchens in 81 Provinces” Project aims to deliver hot meals to a greater number of people in need throughout the year. Within the scope of this project, it is intended to expand soup kitchens across the country, ensuring regular access to hot meals for elderly, disabled, and ill individuals who are unable to prepare food on their own.

Since its establishment, the Turkish Red Crescent has regarded setting up soup kitchens and distributing food and bread to those in need as one of its core missions, particularly during wars, post-war migrations, and natural disasters in crisis regions.
Today, soup kitchens operating under our Provincial Branches and Representations continue to meet the nutritional needs of vulnerable individuals while also serving as an important social support mechanism that strengthens solidarity, compassion, and the mobilization of community resources to address societal challenges.
Across Türkiye, the Turkish Red Crescent currently operates, providing freshly prepared hot meals every day to thousands of people in need. Meals for elderly, disabled, and ill individuals who are unable to visit soup kitchens are delivered directly to their homes using specially designed food containers.
Through the Soup Kitchen Construction Project, the Turkish Red Crescent aims to increase the number of soup kitchens nationwide and expand access to hot meals for more people in need throughout the year.
