According to the United Nations (UN) report “The State of Food Security and Nutrition in the World,” nearly 10% of the world’s population is struggling with hunger, and more than 2.3 billion people (30% of the global population) do not have reliable access to sufficient food throughout the year.
With your valuable donations, the Turkish Red Crescent delivers assistance to hundreds of thousands of people whose access to adequate food is limited. In dozens of countries within our “geography of the heart,” such as Palestine, Yemen, and Somalia, we carry out food assistance activities that take into account local dietary habits and needs.
