Blood Center Construction Project
The Turkish Red Crescent operates 18 Regional Blood Centers and 69 Blood Donation Centers across Türkiye, working to ensure the provision of safe blood to protect public health. Within this scope, blood donation activities are carried out daily at approximately 300 different locations. Efforts are also made to recruit voluntary blood donors, and training sessions are conducted to promote regular and voluntary blood donations.
In addition to ensuring a safe blood supply, our Blood Services Units contribute to strategically important national projects, including plasma fractionation (for pharmaceutical production, blood banking, etc.) and the recruitment of stem cell donors.
To meet the growing demand for blood donations and align with evolving blood banking standards, the Turkish Red Crescent plans to construct and upgrade infrastructure in 8 provinces to enhance the capacity and functionality of selected Regional Blood Centers and Blood Donation Centers.
